There are no more Robin Hoods, only the long long arm of the law, reaching out and fining, and ticketing decent people for parking their trucks on the street. There don't seem to be too many men who like being pushed around any more either. I hope that other municipalities organize and restructure their law enforcement to incorporate the motto "to serve and protect" rather than to continue robbing every passer by through issuance of speeding tickets, parking tickets, seatbelt tickets, failure to signal tickets, and punishments for being ticked off such as tazings, insults, and the abuse of the word justice. Justice is not merely the conviction of a guilty man, but it is also the freedom of an innocent man. Nothing good can come of murder. No justice was had here. Merely revenge. When will our police find the respectful stance they need? When will our local municipalities learn to stop fattening their budget by setting speed traps and fining local citizens for having tall grass?Feb 13, 2008
